İskender Balcı

İskender Balcı graduated from Marmara University, Department of Business Administration (English) in 2010. After graduation, he prepared for the necessary exams and began his career in 2012 as an Assistant Foreign Trade Specialist at the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Trade (formerly Ministry of Economy).

After successfully completing the qualification exams, he wrote his expert thesis titled “R&D Incentives in Turkey and Worldwide” and continued his career as a Foreign Trade Specialist. During this period, he worked on Product Safety and Inspection, Foreign Capital, and Investment Incentives, and represented the Ministry at numerous international fairs. He later served as an Audit Officer within the Ministry.

In January 2018, he was appointed Commercial Attaché at the Consulate General of Turkey in New York, USA, where he actively participated in trade relations and international business development for three years.

Following his service as Commercial Attaché, he joined the Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE), first as Head of Marketing and Export Department and later as Marketing and Sales Director, playing an active role in the restructuring of the institution as Makine ve Kimya A.Ş. During this period, he participated in numerous international defense industry fairs and engaged in consultations with domestic and foreign government officials.

Subsequently, he took a break from his corporate career to pursue entrepreneurial activities in e-commerce and currently serves as an Independent Board Member at Özata Denizcilik A.Ş.
